About Us

Jonathan Calloway and Richard Schindler, owners of American Home Concepts, met in 1990 and developed a friendship while working together. Both have BS degrees and over 40 years combined experience in the construction and home remodeling industry.

They realized that many contracting firms did not care to satisfy customer needs, but rather only cared about collecting money at the completion of a project.

Both Jonathan and Richard thought how nice it would be if homeowners had a company with which they could “partner” when they had occasion to remodel the various parts of their home; a company that cared whether customers were happy upon completion of a project; a company that came back to a home when there was a service problem that needed correcting or a question that needed to be answered.

They set out to start such a company and once we did, customers referred their family members, friends and co-workers to American Home Concepts.

Homeowners for whom they had remodeled a bathroom called American Home Concepts back to replace their windows and doors, etc…

They're both driven to work hard on their projects because they believe it feels good to make clients happy, especially when homeowners are so used to receiving poor workmanship and service from a contractor.
